How to identify the name of my computer
To determine the name of your computer, there are multiple options available. The following methods can be used:
- On the desktop of your computer, you can check for the Host Name and/or IP Address.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard and search for "About Your PC." Click on the option and navigate to "Device Specifications" to locate the "Device Name."
- Press the Windows key and search for "cmd" to open the Command Prompt Box. Type "IPCONFIG /all" at the cursor (note the space after the "G" and before the "/").
- Scroll to the top of the Command Prompt Box and look for "Host Name" under "Windows IP Configuration."
- Under "Ethernet adapter Ethernet," you can find the IPv4 Address.
Either of these methods can be utilized to identify the name of your computer and to access it remotely as needed.
